A jar label on black for traditional Balkan mezes, keeping a homemade feel.
Home Chef’s walnut muhammara is industrially produced but had to feel homemade. On packaging those two things usually fight each other.
We chose a black ground — not industrial, more like a kitchen board. The product name mixes script and caps: “Cevizli” in script, “MUHAMMARA” upright. Below it, in a thin band, “Traditional Balkan Flavour”.
Because the jar is small, three quarters of the label is given to the product name. The ingredient list moved to the back label; the front carries only the product, the brand and a single sentence.
